My very first novel should be coming out soon. It is a young adult historical novel. I can't believe how long it has taken to go through the publishing process. I suppose this is normal, but the anxiety can be excruciating. Especially when you have written another book during the process and want to wait and see how your first one does before you submit another manuscript so that you might have a miniscule chance of getting a bigger advance based on the sales of your first novel.
I've had a few stories published in a small local magazine, and a two poems published in the Internation Library of Poetry. I'm currently working on my third novel. It's a women's fiction genre type of book.
Anyway here's to luck, but mostly determination.
